  • SmartCanvas: adding comma in a variable

For a business card I'm setting up in SmartCanvas, I need to set it up so that if the customer types in a degree (e.g., MSW or PhD), then a comma, space, and then their degree will be inserted after their last name. It seems like I should use a Variable to do this, like so:

My thinking here was that if the customer types in nothing for Cert1, then nothing happens after the last name. If they do type in something for Cert1, then a comma, a space, and then the value of Cert1 gets inserted after the last name.

Problem is, this doesn't work. Cert1 appears, but no comma or space.

you can try putting the comma and or space in quotations eg ","[[CERT]]

Thanks for the great idea, Rashawn. Didn't work, unfortunately.

I'm sure you've solved this by now but just in case ...

Needs to be as follows (including spaces):

        ", " + [[CERT1]]
